Due to Hurricane Ike, postponement of Sept. 13 & 14 weekend’s performances of the Houston Symphony with Music Director Hans Graf and piano soloist Jonathan Biss.  The program, including Aaron Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man, Joan Tower’s Fanfare for the Uncommon Woman, Schumann’s Piano Concerto and with Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, From the New World as the featured work, will be performed on Friday,  October 3, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 5, 2008. at 2:30 p.m. at Jones Hall.  The Symphony will contact ticketholders to coordinate these changes. We will ensure all ticketholders retain the value of
